Traffic Violations: 138 drivers were taken action on a single day in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: The traffic police took action against 4,011 drivers in Kathmandu valley on a single day.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, they were arrested in various locations throughout the valley for violating traffic rules.

One Hundred Thirty Eight of those taken action were driving under the influence of intoxicants, 331 were not following lane discipline, 76 were driving at a red light, 216 were honking in prohibited areas, and 42 were not properly maintaining number plates.

According to the office, 3,208 drivers who violated traffic rules faced other consequences.
