Surya Thapa Unanimous recommendation from Pyuthan
Former Constituent Assembly member Hira Bahadur KC proposed Thapa's candidacy.
KATHMANDU: Surya Thapa, a member of the party’s politburo and Pyuthan district in-charge from Pyuthan, has been unanimously recommended as a candidate for House of Representatives by the CPN (UML) Pyuthan.
District Committee Chairperson Bijay Biraj Bista stated that the district committee meeting held on Monday at the party office in Bijuwara recommended a single name for Thapa to be considered as a candidate. Pyuthan is only one of the House of Representative’s constituents.
According to Chairperson Bista, UML Pyuthan has unanimously decided on the name of the candidate for the state and House of Representatives. Tulsiram Sharma, the party’s outgoing president in state (A), and Hari Rizal, a central member and Pyuthan co-in-charge in state (B), have been recommended.
