3 IS-linked terrorists killed in western Tunisia

TUNIS: Tunisian military forces killed three terrorists in Jabal Salloum in the western province of Kasserine, the Ministry of Defense said in a statement on Friday.

The three terrorists belonged to the Islamic State-linked Jund al Khilafah group, also known as the Soldiers of the Caliphate, according to the statement.

On Thursday, Tunisian security services seized a large number of weapons and ammunition in a town in the southern province of Medenine, including 11 Kalashnikov-type assault rifles, 14 ammunition magazines, and 4,400 7.62-mm bullets.

Tunisian security authorities have warned for years against the armed extremist groups who concealed themselves in the mountains of Kasserine.
