NC to repeat Arzu in Kailali-5

KATHMANDU: It has been decided to re-elect Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba from Kailali Constituency No. 5 in the Nov 20 election.

The Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to run Deuba as a direct candidate in the House of Representatives elections from Region No. 5.

Rana was unanimously nominated to the House of Representatives by the Nepali Congress Kailali Constituency No. 5 ‘A’ state committee meeting on Wednesday.

Rana was defeated by Naradamuni Rana, the candidate of the then-Left Alliance, in the previous election by a margin of 4,880 votes. Rana received only 22,322 votes, while the victorious Rana received 27,002 votes.
