Electric charging station placed in Ratna Park

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has set up a charging station in Kathmandu’s Ratna Park.

Pampha Bhusal, Minister of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, dedicated the charging station. The station is kept at the Nepal Electricity Authority’s central office in Ratna Park.

According to the NEA, the charging station was installed to promote electricity consumption and the use of electric vehicles.

Plans are being made to establish fast vehicle charging stations in the country’s major cities and highways said NEA.

Minister Bhusal stated that the first phase will include the installation of 51 charging stations.
