KATHMANDU: Two illegally constructed towers in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, have been demolished.

These two towers, built by Super Tech, were demolished following a court order.

According to the Indian news agency Aaj Tak, 3,700 kg of explosives were used to demolish the Apex and Keyan towers.

With the possibility of accidents occurring during the demolition of the building in mind, the surrounding areas were removed, and explosives and flammable fuels such as roads, electricity, and gas were also removed.

The Supreme Court of India ordered the tower’s demolition, citing serious violations of the building code by Super Tech.

The court also ordered the company to pay for all of the costs associated with the building’s demolition and cleanup.
