Fire started after the truck fell on Trishuli bank of Dhading

The truck crashed about 200 meters below the road on the river bank at Trishuli, and the front part of the truck caught fire.

KATHMANDU: Truck No. 5 Kha 5955, which was carrying edible oil from Biratnagar to Kathmandu, was involved in an accident this morning at Gajuri Rural Municipality-6 Jarekhet of Dhading on Prithvi Raj Marg.

The truck crashed about 200 meters below the road on the river bank at Trishuli, and the front part of the truck caught fire.

The fire was quickly put out by local residents and a joint police team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhavesh Rimal of the local police office Gajuri and the Adamghat armed police force.

“The fire was brought under control in time by the combined efforts of the police and local residents,” Pranau Rimal said, “so human casualties were avoided.” According to the police, the cause of the accident is being investigated.
