197 people traveling on tourist visas to Gulf countries under control

KATHMANDU: One Hundred Ninety-Seven people on their way to Gulf countries on tourist visas were under the control of the security office at Tribhuvan International Airport.

Those attempting to leave for the Gulf countries from August 24 to 27 using tourist entry permits on flights operated by various airlines were under control at the airport’s departure area.

According to the airport security office, their air travel permit documents were found to be suspicious during the check as they walked to the plane, so they were detained. There were 143 women and 94 men under control.

According to the Security Office, they have been turned over to the Babar Mahal Police Department’s Human Trafficking Investigation Bureau for further investigation.
