Morocco drops to 23rd in latest FIFA ranking

RABAT: Morocco dropped one spot to 23rd place in the world following the latest International Federation of Football (FIFA) rankings released on Thursday.

Atlas Lions of Morocco are still second on the African level behind Senegal (18th).

Tunisia is in the third position (30th) on the African pecking order, followed by Nigeria (31st), Egypt (40th), Algeria (41st) and Mali (46th).

Brazil have overtaken Belgium to become the world No. 1 in the FIFA rankings, followed by Argentina (3rd), France, England, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal and Denmark.

China maintains their 78th position, ranking 11th among all Asian teams.
