Samsung electronics global CFO HK Park meets Hon’ble PM Deuba

During an official visit to Nepal, Samsung Electronics Global President and CFO Mr HK Park paid a courtesy visit to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of Nepal Shri Sher Bahadur Deuba on Wednesday.
Mr Park was accompanied by a delegation of the Company’s other senior executives.
Mr Park informed the Hon’ble Prime Minister about the various initiatives Samsung is undertaking in the country in the areas of electronics manufacturing, retail, and job creation during the meeting. He also reaffirmed Samsung’s commitment to the community, particularly Nepalese youth, through future initiatives.
Samsung has announced the establishment of a factory in Nawalparasi to manufacture LED televisions in collaboration with its local partner HIM Electronics (Golchha Group).
Samsung is confident that the new factory will boost Nepalese electronics manufacturing. It will also help the government’s goal of increasing local manufacturing capacity and creating jobs.
Samsung has been present in Nepal for more than two decades. It is now a household name in the country.
Through its partners, it currently sells smartphones and consumer electronics products such as televisions, refrigerators, washing machines, and microwaves in the Nepal market. It has over 2,000 electronics retail stores and customer service centers in its network.
