Ruling coalition directed task force to submit a report on situation in all 165 areas
Karki stated that the seat distribution issue will be resolved soon.
KATHMANDU: The ruling coalition’s meeting has directed the subordinate working group to submit a report on the situation in all constituencies for electoral coordination.
Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, a Congress leader and Communications Minister, said the coalition meeting on Thursday at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar directed the working group to submit a report on the situation in 165 constituencies.
He stated that the working group will now convene and prepare a report on the discussions about the situation in all constituencies, which will be submitted to the top level. The working group is also preparing to present to the top level the parties’ claims on seat distribution. Karki stated that the seat distribution issue will be resolved soon.
After the working group failed to reach an agreement, the issue of seat distribution was discussed at the highest level. However, the task force was told to prepare the report again after the seat distribution was not agreed upon even at the highest level, according to the leaders.
