Action taken against 3,196 drivers in valley on a single day

KATHMANDU: Traffic police have taken action against 3,196 drivers in one day in Kathmandu valley.

On Wednesday, they were arrested in various locations throughout the valley for violating traffic laws.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 197 people have been taekn action for driving under the influence of alcohol.

The office also took action against 70 drivers who did not follow lane discipline, 63 who ran a red light, 199 who honked in prohibited areas, and 22 drivers who did not properly keep number plates. Other actions have been taken against 2,655 drivers, according to the office.
