Ruling coalition meeting underway in Baluwatar
A meeting of the coalition's top leaders was held, as well as members of the working group formed for seat allocation.
KATHMANDU: The leaders of the ruling coalition parties, who have agreed to coordinate the upcoming elections, are currently discussing the distribution of seats.
A meeting of the coalition’s top leaders was held, as well as members of the working group formed for seat allocation.
Govinda Pariyar, the Prime Minister’s Press Adviser, stated that the meeting has been ongoing for some time at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar. “The meeting has been going on for about half an hour, and top leaders and working group members are participating,” he said.
Despite the formation of a working group to reach an agreement on seat distribution, efforts are being made to obtain agreement from the top leaders. The working group was unable to reach an agreement as the coalition parties refused to back down from their claims.
Although the parties in the alliance agreed to share the seats based on the results of the 074 and 079 elections, they couldn’t agree on the number of seats.
