In Pics: No effect seen of strike in valley
Nepal police and armed police teams have been deployed along the main roads and chowks in the valley since the morning.
KATHMANDU: The impact of the Nepalese strike, called by four parties including the CPN led by Netra Bikram Chand “Biplav”, was not felt in the valley. Cars drive normally on valley roads, but the roads and chowks are heavily policed.
Biplav, a chairperson of the Communist Party of Nepal, Chairperson of Nepal Communist Party led by Rishi Kattel, Ahuti of the Nepal Scientific Socialist Communist Party, General Secretary of the CPN Maoist Socialist Karnajit, has called for a strike in Nepal and the lawsuit against their workers be withdrawn from the government and comply with the agreement.

“We saw less traffic after the strike compared to other days,” said Tek Prasad Rai, a spokesman for the Central Police of Nepal Police, but “no road closures were seen. We mobilized police at chowks and possible locations.
Police have been mobilized since the morning in areas such as New Baneshwar and Maitighar.
The ministry has issued directives to maintain peace and security across the country. Police are, therefore “very vigilant,” he said.
