KATHMANDU: In the election to be held on Nov 20, the candidates have to inform about the estimated amount of the election expenses at the time of filing the nomination papers.

The Election Commission, while discussing with the parties for amendments and revisions to the Election Code of Conduct 2079, said that the estimated election expenses and resources should be informed at the time of registration of the nomination papers.

Similarly, the Commission also ensures that candidates provide property and personal details when registering their nomination papers.

The Committee also arranges for the use of up to 10 national flags in election campaigns.

The Commission’s spokesman, Shaligram Sharma Paudel, said that various proposals on the Code of Conduct had been received from the parties and, based on the proposals, preparations were being made to submit them to the official journal for immediate publication.
