MP Giri Death: Parliament meeting not be held today

KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives meeting called for today has been postponed. Due to the death of the Nepali Congress leader and member of the House of Representatives, Pradeep Giri, the meeting scheduled for 11 am today has been postponed.
“There is a tradition that after the death of any member of the House of Representatives, the meeting is not conducted without a funeral,” said an officer of the Parliament Secretariat, “As of this, the meeting of the House of Representatives will not be held today, and now the secretariat is giving formal information that the meeting will be postponed.”
According to him, Nepali Congress MPs had also requested the secretariat to postpone the meeting saying that they would attend the homage meeting.
