Follow-up of deputy head to improve service delivery
During the monitoring, it was discovered that some employees had congregated in one location and did not even work of customers.
KATHMANDU: Biratnagar Metropolitan Corporation has increased its surveillance of subordinate offices. After receiving complaints that employees were not found in the office, or if they were found, they did not work quickly, the city increased its monitoring.
Shilpa Nirala Karki, deputy mayor, visited the ward office and the education department on Thursday. Deputy Chief Karki also kept an eye on Wards 7 and 8.
During the monitoring, it was discovered that some employees had congregated in one location and did not even work of customers.
The fan and light were also left on in the room where there was no staff, according to Deputy Mayor Karki. He stated that if the service is provided quickly from the ward, the number of complaints will decrease.
“People’s work should be made easier from the ward level,” he said, “which is why we continue to support the ward and related divisions.”
She also gave instructions to the employees in order to make their work more efficient. On Thursday, Deputy Mayor Karki also visited the Saraswati tole education department.
According to the Education Department, Deputy Mayor Karki also checked the attendance books of all three offices. Nagesh Koirala, Metropolitan Mayor, recently inspected Ward 15 and the Rani Health Post.
