Monsoon in south, heavy rain in these states

KATHMANDU: Meteorologists say that most of the country is experiencing a normal to complete change in weather today.

Since this morning, there has been light rain with thunder in parts of Gandaki and Lumbini states, according to the weather forecast division.

Today afternoon, there is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder in a few places in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States, as well as a few places in the rest of the state.

Heavy rain is also possible in one or two places in Bagmati State, Gandaki State, Lumbini State, and Sudurpaschim State.

At night, there is a chance of light to moderate rain with lightning in some areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim states, as well as a few other states.

The low-pressure line of the monsoon axis of the monsoon trough is currently located south of Sardar.

The department has requested that precautions be taken as there is a risk of landslides and gegran drift in hilly areas where heavy rains are possible, and the water level in rivers and canals may rise slightly.
