UML’s demand to vote on the Citizenship Bill

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML is to demand a vote on the Citizenship Bill in the House of Representatives.

The government is planning to pass the bill, which has been debated all day, on Thursday. The main opposition party, however, UML, will not accept a voice vote during the passage.

“UML is in favor of dividing votes and voting,” said Bishal Bhattarai, chief whip of the UML parliamentary party.
