The central secretariat meeting on Wednesday established eight criteria for recommending and selecting candidates.
KATHMANDU: CPN (Unified Socialists) has set eight criteria for recommending and selecting candidates for the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) and State Assembly elections on Nov 20.
According to a statement issued by the party’s general secretary Beduram Bhusal on Thursday, the central secretariat meeting on Wednesday established eight criteria for recommending and selecting candidates.
Criteria include being committed to the party’s direction, policies, and programs, participating actively in the uprising, and contributing to the party’s construction. Similarly, the meeting decided on the process for recommending and selecting candidates for the party in the upcoming elections.
The meeting agreed on a seven-point procedure for recommending and selecting candidates for their party in the election.
