CPN-S to decide candidate for parliamentary election by Sept 5
The Secretariat has also developed candidate selection criteria for this,
KATHMANDU: The CPN United Socialists will choose their parliamentary candidates by Sept 5. The United Samajwadi Party has established eight criteria for selecting candidates for the House of Representatives and State Assembly elections on Nov 20.
We will select a candidate by Sept 5. The Secretariat has also developed candidate selection criteria for this,” said Jagannath Khatiwada, deputy general secretary of the United Socialists.
By Aug 26, the House of Representatives and the State Assembly Constituency Coordination Committee must recommend candidates to the District Committee. Similarly, based on the recommendations received in the district committee, Socialists have requested that the list be sent to the state committee by Aug 28.
The state committee has to send the recommendation to the center by Aug 31 while the central committee has to decide on the candidate by Sept 5.
