Snakebite kills one person in Sunawarshi, Morang

BIRATNAGAR: One person died due to snakebite in Morang.

A snakebite killed one person in Sunawarshi Municipality-9 Dainiya on Wednesday night.

Sanjay Singh, 29, of Sunawwarshi-9, died after being bitten by a snake, according to police.

According to the police, a snake bit his leg while he was returning home from outside around 12 o’clock at night.

Morang police spokesperson DSP Deepak Shrestha stated that it is unknown which snake bit him.

After reaching home, he informed the family that he was bitten by a snake.

DSP Shrestha claims Singh died on the way to Rangeli Hospital for treatment.

Recently, with the summer season, the number of snakebite victims in Terai has begun to rise.
