KATHMANDU: 54 drivers were arrested today as part of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office’s special checking campaign.
The traffic check campaign was carried out with the safety of college students in mind. Among them were 27 people who drove without a driver’s license, 3 people who drove without necessary documents, and 21 drivers who committed miscellaneous offenses.
Similarly, during a routine check this morning, traffic officers took action against 107 water tanker drivers, four ambulance drivers, and 216 other vehicle drivers for violating various traffic rules.
Similarly, Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office spokesperson and Senior Superintendent of Police Rajendra Prasad Bhatta stated that 328 drivers, including one who was driving a school bus while under the influence of alcohol, were taken action.
