90 kg of marijuana recovered from ambulance, driver nabbed

KATHMANDU: Siraha police recovered 90 kg of marijuana from the ambulance. The ambulance driver has also been detained by police.

Marijuana was recovered from ambulance No. 1 Ch 7577 in Lahan Municipality-1 along the East-West Highway, according to police.

Police Inspector Ramchandra Sah of the District Police Office Siraha reported that 90 kg of marijuana was discovered in the ambulance during a vehicle check on Monday night.

Five sacks of marijuana and 28,000 rupees in cash were discovered in the back of the ambulance, according to Shah.

Saroj Lama, a 29-year-old resident of Dhangadhimai Municipality-9 in Siraha, was arrested after marijuana was discovered.

According to the local police office, Lahan, further investigation is underway.
