Minister Kunwar & Ambassador of Israel met, agreement to hire 1,000 Nepali workers

KATHMANDU: Labor, Employment, and Social Security Minister Sher Bahadur Kunwar met with Israeli Ambassador Hanan Goder. On Monday, Ambassador Goder visited the ministry to meet with Minister Kunwar.

They discussed the labor agreement between the two countries in particular. During the discussion, Ambassador Goder informed Minister Kunwar that the Israeli government had just decided to hire 1,000 more Nepali farm workers.

He also stated that 1,147 auxiliary workers were chosen out of 9,699 applications and are preparing to travel to Israel.

During the meeting, Minister Kunwar also thanked Goder for the Israeli government’s assistance to the Nepali people.

He has also requested that the Israeli government assist Nepal in various fields such as agriculture, tourism, and industry in the coming days.

Minister Kunwar also requested assistance from Israeli investors, citing the Ministry of Labor’s adoption of a reintegration policy for Nepali workers who have recently returned from abroad.
