KATHMANDU: The Nepal Civil Servants Union has threatened to protest if the law governing three-level employees is not issued as requested.

The chairperson of the organization, Lekhnath Koirala, announced the decision of the second meeting of the Central Working Committee in Kathmandu on Sunday, warning that if the law to guide the three-level employees is not issued as per their demand, they will proceed with the program of phased movement under the leadership of the organization.

He stated that if agitation is required, other trade unions will be called. He complained that the Nepalese government has been slow to implement the proposed Federal Civil Service Act, the fundamental law that governs employees at three levels: local, state, and central.

Chairperson Koirala stated that the Nepal Civil Servants Union’s Central Committee met and made significant decisions.

He stated that during the second meeting, the chairman and members of the Audit, Discipline, and Election Commission received two days of training.

According to the organization, the meeting held on Aug 11, 12, and 13 in Bhaktapur unanimously approved the ‘Organizational Report’ presented by General Secretary Jeevan Kafle and the ‘Financial Report’ presented by Treasurer Ganesh Prasad Acharya.
