Prachanda & Baburam agrees to contest elections with same symbol

CPN (Maoist Center) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Nepal Samajwadi Party Chairperson Dr. Baburam Bhattarai have agreed to contest on the same election symbol in the upcoming state and federal elections.

According to Mahendra Rai Yadav, another Nepal Samajwadi Party chairperson, the party is prepared to contest on the Maoist center’s election symbol.

He stated that they had agreed to make a decision after consulting with their respective parties. As their election symbol is old and ours is new, there is a chance that they will win. “We will now discuss it in our respective parties and reach a firm agreement,” he said.

Leaders of the Nepal Samajwadi Party are optimistic about retaining some of their seats in the state and union in the upcoming elections. It is understood that the Nepal Samajwadi Party is prepared to contest on the Maoists’ election symbol.
