10 billion will be spent for State Assembly & HoR elections

KATHMANDU: The State Assembly and House of Representatives elections are expected to cost around 10 billion, according to the Election Commission.

During a meeting with editors on Sunday, the commission stated that the election will be completed at a cost of 10 billion rupees.

The government has already decided to hold provincial and representative assembly elections on Nov 20 in the same phase. The Election Commission is currently preparing for that election.

According to Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya, the total number of voters for the upcoming elections is approximately 18.2 million.
