KATHMANDU: Mayor Balen Shah of Kathmandu Metropolitan City has stated that more garbage trucks will be reaching in Bancharedanda starting today.

He claimed that if there were no impediments, 250 to 350 garbage-carrying vehicles would reached in Bancharedanda every day.

According to Balen, 152 garbage-carrying vehicles reached in Bancharedanda on Saturday evening. “152 vehicles carrying garbage arrived in Bancharedanda on Saturday,” he wrote on Facebook.

According to Mayor Shah, 75 garbage vehicles leave Kathmandu every day, and the same amount is collected from various municipalities.

“Under normal conditions, it may take some time to collect the garbage and deliver it to Bancharedanda,” he added. “Thank you very much to the locals, garbage collection, employees and drivers, and security personnel who did not obstruct.”
