Man arrested for murdering wife

KATHMANDU: A man strangled his wife to death in Birgunj Metropolitan City’s Ward No. 23 Itiyahi.

Dinesh Prasad Yadav, 26, strangled his 23-year-old wife Pratima Kumari Yadav on Friday morning.

Dinesh was arrested at 3/4 a.m., according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Prahlad Karki, on a charge of murdering his wife.

The accused Dinesh, who was arrested from his house, told police that he strangled his wife Pratima to death as he suspected she was having an affair with another boy.

The deceased Pratima was five months pregnant, according to Pratima’s parents.
