KATHMANDU: The government appoints Krishna Hari Pushkar as the Finance Secretary.
He was named Finance Secretary at a Cabinet meeting on Thursday.
He was previously the Revenue Secretary. Until the Finance Secretary was appointed, the government delegated the Finance Secretary’s responsibilities to Secretary Pushkar.
Rameshwor Dangal has been appointed Revenue Secretary by the government.
Finance Secretary Madhu Kumar Marasini was placed on leave following the controversy of Finance Minister Janardan Sharma in the tax rate manipulation case.
Secretary Marasini was in trouble after Finance Minister Sharma returned to the ministry. The problem was solved by transferring him to the office of the Council of Ministers.
