Writ filed against Bhuwan KC in SC

KATHMANDU: A writ has been filed in the Supreme Court (SC) against the appointment of Film Development Board Chairperson Bhuwan KC.

The other candidates who applied for the chairpersonship of the development board have filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging KC’s appointment, claiming that he is unqualified.

They have filed a lawsuit claiming that there is a graduation requirement for appointment as chairperson of the development board, but only for KC’s study certificate level.

A preliminary hearing on the writ will be held on Monday.
