Will Gyanendra Shahi triumph in Jumla? RPP garnered 450 votes in local elections!

KATHMANDU: Gyanendra Shahi, spokesperson for the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, has announced that he will run for office from Jumla. Spokesperson Shahi has announced that he will run for the House of Representatives from Jumla.
He stated that he declared his candidacy from Jumla as he believes that the people of Jumla, who are among the poorest in the country, should lead not only the district but also the country. He lives in Jumla’s Sinja Rural Municipality’s Ward No. 3.
“We have been suffering from the realization that we have to walk for 7 days, carrying 25 kilos from morning to evening when we arrive in Surkhet,” he explained. Jumla supported my candidacy because I believe I should lead the country.
According to Shahi, RPP is very weak in Jumla. He said that according to the results of the last local level, RPP got only about 450 votes. In Shahi’s ward, RPP has got 16 votes.
RPP would join the alliance in the 2074 federal election. Gajendra Bahadur Mahat of the Maoist Center won the federal election on behalf of the Left Alliance with 22,173 votes. Devendra Bahadur Shahi of the Nepali Congress came in second place with 14 thousand 149 votes.
Dilli Prasad Kafle of the Nepal Labor Farmers Party received 2,718 votes. Vin Budha of the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (Rashtravadi) received 380 votes, while the Federal Socialist Forum received 159 votes and Harihar Chaulagain, who later became an independent, received 152 votes.
Shahi, the campaign coordinator for ‘Hamro Nepal, Hami Nepali,’ joined the RPP in Falgun (Feb/March).
