Khadka, the Foreign Minister, is visiting China
Foreign Minister Khadka will also be honored at a banquet hosted by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
KATHMANDU: Today, Foreign Minister Dr. Narayan Khadka will travel to China. Foreign Minister Khadka has accepted the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to visit China.
He will remain in China until the 11th of August, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also stated that a delegation-level bilateral dialogue will be held in Qingdao on August 10 (tomorrow).
Foreign Minister Khadka will also be honored at a banquet hosted by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
Minister Khadka will return home on August 11. This is Minister Khadka’s first trip to China since the government was formed under Sher Bahadur Deuba’s leadership.
The tension between the two superpower countries has risen since Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, visited Taiwan last week. In the midst of all of this, Nepal’s Foreign Minister is visiting China.
Wang Yi, China’s Foreign Minister, visited Nepal in March. Narayan Khadka will travel to China this week to accept the invitation he extended at the time. China has recently made a high-level visit.
