Recommendation committee considering an impeachment motion against CJ Rana

KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives has referred Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana’s impeachment proposal to the impeachment recommendation committee.

Following the general discussion at the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday, the impeachment proposal was sent to the recommendation committee.

The Speaker’s proposal that the impeachment proposal be sent to the impeachment recommendation committee was unanimously approved at the meeting.

Within three months, the subcommittee must submit a report to the House. On February 13, an indictment was registered against Chief Justice.
