Weather: Partly cloudy across the country, chances of heavy rain in these states

KATHMANDU: Meteorologists report a partial to normal change in the weather across the country. Meteorologists have forecast that heavy rain will fall in various parts of the country today.

This afternoon, heavy rain is possible in one or two locations in the Far West, Lumbini, and Karnali States. This morning, light rain is falling in parts of Gandaki, Far West, Lumbini, and the Karnali States, with scattered to heavy showers across the country.

Showers will be light to moderate across the country this afternoon. According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible in some hilly areas and in a few places throughout the rest of the country.

Tonight there will be partial to normal showers in the hilly areas of the country and partial showers in the rest of the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at some places of the Lumbini and a few places of the rest of the states.

There is a risk of soil erosion, landslides, and gegran drift in one or two areas of Far West, Lumbini, and Karnali States due to the possibility of heavy rain.

In addition, the department has asked for extra caution because the water level in rivers, canals, and rivers may rise, disrupting daily life.
