Voter list registration postponed from today

KATHMANDU: As the government has set the election date for Nov 20, the Election Commission has suspended voter list collection/registration as of today.

The registration of voters by the State Election Office, District Election Office, District Administration Office, and Area Administration Office will be suspended beginning today, according to the Voters’ Roll Act of 2073.

According to the Commission, arrangements have been made to collect fingerprints and photographs from people whose application dates for the collection of voter lists through online technology have been set, and to collect fingerprints and photographs by August 6.
