Madhu Marasini, Finance Secretary, been transferred

KATHMANDU: Madhu Marasini, the Finance Secretary, has been transferred. On Thursday, the Cabinet decided to transfer Secretary Marasini from the Ministry of Finance.

After Finance Minister Janardhan Sharma returned to the Ministry of Finance, who was involved in a controversy related to the budget formulation, he was on leave. He was on leave following a squabble over the involvement of unauthorized individuals in budget preparation.

Later, when Sharma returned to the Ministry of Finance, he was on leave.

Secretary Marasini has been dragged to the office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers. Finance Minister Sharma is reportedly planning to appoint Industry Secretary Arjun Pokharel as Finance Secretary.
