Shree Airlines flight makes emergency landing at Nepalgunj

KATHMANDU: The Shree Airlines flight from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu was forced to make an emergency landing at Nepalgunj airport. Within 6 minutes of takeoff, the aircraft made an emergency landing after detecting smoke.
According to Nepalgunj station chief Parshuram Chaudhary of Shri Airlines, flight 9N-ANF 432, which was flying from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu, made an emergency landing.
There were 79 people on board, including the crew members. All of the passengers on the aircraft were safely evacuated said, Chaudhary.
“A team of engineers will be brought from Kathmandu, and the reason will be discovered after a thorough investigation,” Chaudhary said.
According to the airport office, a ‘full emergency’ was arranged during the aircraft’s landing. The plane is said to have landed safely, and the technical inspection of the plane has begun.
