ANNFSU drew attention of Oil Corporation demanding to adjust price of petroleum

KATHMANDU: ANNFSU has submitted a protest letter with the Oil Corporation, demanding that the price of petroleum products be adjusted.

As the price of petroleum products falls in the international market, the price of petroleum products in Nepal should fall as well. They demanded that the price system be adjusted automatically.

The demonstrators held placards that read, “Withdraw the price increase, establish an automatic price system.” Pankaj Bhandari, Chairperson of the ANNFSU Bagmati State Valley Special Committee, stated that the price of daily consumables has increased due to the increase in the price of petroleum products and that if the price of petroleum products is reduced, the price of daily consumables should also be reduced in Nepal.

He accused the corporation of always showing losses to conceal its flaws.

After reviewing the students’ attention letter, corporation officials stated that the corporation is committed to implementing the automatic price system. The ANNFSU has threatened to fight if the price of petroleum products is not reduced.
