Kiran Chemjong makes marriage proposal to girlfriend on field

KATHMANDU:  Kiran Kumar Limbu (Chemjong), the captain and goalkeeper of the Nepali national football team, has made a marriage proposal to his girlfriend on the field.

Kiran proposed to Kanchan Niraula on the field after winning the Maldives’ top division league, the Dhivehi Premier League.

Kiran is said to have been in love with air hostess Kanchan for the past two years. When they won the Three Nations Cup, they were seen together at Dashrath Stadium. Kiran traveled to the Maldives with his girlfriend, her mother, and his mother for the team’s prize distribution ceremony.

Kiran, a goalkeeper for Maziya Sports and Recreation, was named the best goalkeeper of the 2022 season. Kiran has won the best goalkeeper award for the second time in the Maldives’ top league, the Dhivehi Premier League. Earlier this year, he was named TC Sports’ best goalkeeper.

Kiran, on the other hand, has won his second Maldives league title. Maziya scored a hat-trick as he won the top division league for the fourth time. They won 20 of 21 games this season during the hat-trick. One game was dropped.

Maziya scored 60 points in 21 games this season. Club Eagles, which is currently second, has added 46 points. Similarly, only 5 goals were scored while 85 goals were scored.
