Monsoon still active, heavy rains in these five states

KATHMANDU: Currently, it has been raining in different parts of the country since this morning.

Light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning is currently falling in some areas of State 1, Bagmati, Gandaki, and a few other states.

Monsoon is still active across the country, according to the Water and Weather Forecasting Division. According to the department, the afternoon will be normal to complete change. Many parts of the country can expect light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning. Heavy rain is possible in a few areas of State 1, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini.

The country will have partly cloudy to partly cloudy skies at night. In some parts of the country, light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning is possible. Heavy rain is possible in one or two locations in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Far West State.

The department has asked for vigilance because the water level in rivers, canals, and rivers may rise and disrupt daily life.
