KATHMANDU: Eight Hundred Ninety-Five people have been confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, with one person dying.
During that time, 59,009 people had their samples tested. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 3,685 people underwent PCR testing and 2,2400 underwent antigen testing.
Two Hundred Sixty-Four people have recovered from COVID-19 infection in the last 24 hours. In addition, the number of people recovered from COVID-19 has reached 907,062. The infection-free rate is 98.3 percent, according to the ministry.
In the last 24 hours, 33,176 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19. Currently, the number of active infected is 4,934. So far, the death toll from COVID-19 has reached 11,968.

There are currently over 500 active infected districts in Kathmandu and Lalitpur, with Kaski being one of the districts with over 200 infected. Manang, Kalikot, Mugu, Humla, Bajura, Darchula, and Bajhang are the districts with no infection.
According to the ministry, there are currently 2,872 active cases in Kathmandu, 43 in Lalitpur, and 30 in Bhaktapur among the valley’s three districts.
