Directorate canceled by Madhesh State government

JANAKPURDHAM: The Madhesh state government has decided to cancel the Janakpurdham-based Directorate of Industry, Commerce, and Interest Protection.

The Madhesh state government’s spokesman and finance minister, Shailendra Prasad Sah, announced this morning that the Madhesh state government’s council of ministers decided to abolish the directorate.

Minister Sah stated that at the same meeting, it was decided to establish an industry department in Birgunj, Parsa, as well as three tourism development offices, one in Lahan, Siraha, Janakpurdham, Dhanusha, and Birgunj, Parsa.

The state government announced the establishment of a tourism development office with the goal of promoting tourism through fiscal year 2079/80 policies and programs.
