Heavy rain in Pokhara, settlements inundated

KATHMANDU: More than 100 houses in Pokhara Metropolitan City-13 have been inundated as a result of heavy rain.

The Kamalpokhari area has been inundated due to continuous rain since Sunday evening, according to Kiran Baral, Ward Chairperson of Ward No. 13.

He stated that there had been no human casualties. Baral stated that following the heavy rain, he has been moving with a dozer to divert the water in the area around Kamalpokhari since the night.

He stated that the work of diverting water is hampered by continuous flooding.
