1 killed, 2 injured in landslide in Pokhara

KATHMANDU: A landslide destroyed one person’s house in Dihikopatan, Pokhara Metropolitan City.

According to police, Santosh Sunar died when his tin-roofed house was destroyed by a landslide caused by last night’s heavy rain.

The landslide injured Sunita Sunar and Siman Sunar. Sunita’s brother is Santosh. Sunita is being treated at Pokhara’s Gandaki Medical College. The condition of both the injured is normal.

DSP Sunder Tiwari stated that after the house was buried around 1 a.m., the police threw mud and pulled them out. It is still raining heavily in Pokhara.
