Driver who drives school bus under the influence of alcohol to be prosecuted

KATHMANDU: The traffic police have taken action against school buses that violate traffic rules.

During the police checks conducted throughout the valley on Sunday, sixteen school buses were detained.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 16 school buses were prosecuted for various offenses during checks at various locations throughout the valley on Sunday morning as part of a campaign to warn and take action against school vehicles that violate traffic rules 2074.

Five drivers were found to be under the influence of alcohol, according to the police.

Senior Superintendent of Police Rajendra Prasad Bhatt, the traffic spokesperson, stated that such check operations will continue in the coming days.
