Janardan Sharma to be sworn in as Finance Minister again today

KATHMANDU: Former finance minister and CPN Maoist Center leader Janardan Sharma will be reappointed as finance minister.

After the CPN Maoist Center Standing Committee meeting approved Sharma’s name, Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda will submit it to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba today.

According to sources, he will also take the oath of office and secrecy from the President today.

Finance Minister Sharma resigned after being embroiled in the tax rate revision case.

Following that, a special parliamentary committee was formed to investigate him.

The committee conducted an investigation and determined that Sharma was not guilty.
