KATHMANDU: The government will provide free treatment to acid attack victims.

Dr. Samir Kumar Adhikari, Co-Spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, announced that acid attack victims will be able to receive free treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital Maharajgaunj, Bir Hospital, Patan Hospital, and Kirtipur Hospital.

Arrangements have also been made for the victims to receive free emergency treatment at any health facility in the country.

The government has approved the procedure for treating acid attack victims in 2078.
