Foreign Minister’s reply to parliamentarians – Letter been sent to US, don’t doubt it

KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka confirmed that the Nepalese government has informed the US not to participate in the SPP.

In response to parliamentary questions, he stated, “The government did not follow the decision made by the Council of Ministers, the highest body of the executive.” We are sowing seeds of doubt and suspicion. This can make running the state difficult. We must have faith.

The parliamentarians demanded that the contents of the letter sent to America be read aloud in the chamber.

Minister Khadka, on the other hand, only asked that doubts not be expressed, adding, “We have to create trust among ourselves.” A trusting environment must be created. Only then will the state be able to function smoothly.
